What are the dues for? What do they pay for?

Sterchi Hills HOA collects and spends funds from dues on the maintenance and upkeep of common areas, improvements, and for enjoyable community events.

maintenance/upkeep of common areas examples:

  • KUB to power street lights

  • Hallsdale-Powell Utility District for water at the entrances and for the pool

  • lawn maintenance for the common grounds and entrances

  • regular cleaning & maintenance of the pool, grounds, and furniture

examples of projects/improvements to neighborhood:

  • renovations of pool house and bathrooms

  • playgrounds equipment updates

  • new structures (like gazebos and picnic tables)

community activity & event examples:

  • arts & crafts for children’s events

  • prizes for contests

  • refreshments at neighborhood meetings and events

  • costs to make communication materials and run advertisements

At the annual meeting held in January, a detailed list from the previous year will be available for all residents

When are my HOA Dues due?

Dues are due on January 1st and a late fee of $25.00 per month will be charged if not paid by Feb 28th. After 90 days of being delinquent, a lien will be place on the property with the Knox County Register of Deeds.

What if I am having financial difficulty and can’t pay all the dues at once?

More communication, the better. Please contact a board member as soon as you are aware of the issue, and we are always willing to work out a payment arrangement so you will remain in good standing with the HOA.
