about the pool and other common areas

When does the pool open?

The pool opens in May on the Saturday before the last day of school for Knox County.

How do I get a key to the pool?

In 2009, the HOA changed from cut keys to key “fobs” for the pool. Each resident in good standing received a key fob. This key fob is reactivated every year. If you are a new resident, hopefully the key fob was left from the previous owner, but if not please contact a board member so you can be provided with one.

If you lose your key fob, the price for replacement is $30.00. contact us here if you need a replacement

Can I get more than one key fob for my residence?

Unfortunately, no. Currently, we cannot issue more than one fob for security concerns. We hope to provide this in the future for our families and residents as we understand it is an inconvenience.

What are the pool hours?

The pool is open at 6:00 am until 10:00 am for Adults only, and 10:00 am until 10:00 pm for all swim. This is to ensure the enjoyment for all.

Key fob use is monitored via our computer system, they automatically turn off at 10PM when the pool closes and turn back on at 6AM.

There is an emergency exit button on the pool house wall if you get locked in after 10PM. Once pushed, the gate will remain unlocked for 45 seconds and the alarm will go off once the gate is opened. The alarm will stop once the gate is closed.

Where can I vape and/or smoke at the pool?

Out of respect for all residents’ health and safety, we do not allow smoking and/or vaping within the confines of the gated area.

Please, keep the vaping or smoking away from children and the playground.

What happens if I witness a violation at the pool?

Report it here

Notify the board first. Please, give the board members you contact about the incident at least 12 hours to respond to you before posting anything on social media. Matters can get complicated easily, and it will be much easier to handle quickly and safely without immediate social media involvement.

Things to note:

  • Gather as much accurate information about the person(s) as possible

    • What were they wearing?

    • What did they look like?

    • If they arrive and/or leave, what times were those?

  • The pool has 24 hr. video surveillance and we will look at the tape for evidence

  • Noting the exact time greatly helps us pinpoint the individual, as each key fob is assigned to an address.

Are people allowed to park overnight at the parking lot?

No, they are not. The pool parking lot is for paid pool member parking only and HOA sponsored events.

As it is posted, vehicles may be towed at the Board of Director's discretion for unauthorized use/activity in the parking lot.

Am I allowed to use the field across from the pool on the other side of the parking lot for a party or event?

The field adjacent to the pool parking lot is HOA maintained and owned property, so it is private. It is currently only used for HOA sponsored events.

However, if you’d like to plan an event or any organized activity please contact the Sterchi Hills Board of Directors and you can be approved for an event with at least 1 week (7 days) notice!

No motorized vehicles are allowed to be driven, ridden, or parked on the field without written permission from the Sterchi Hills Board of Directors.
